Fishing for Forces..Reading

Fishing for Forces...

42 service personnel descended to Theale nr Reading on Tuesday 25th to enjoy and very well earned day of tutored fly fishing .    All was made possible by Bill Howell ( http://www.fishingforforces.org/ ) and his very generous sponsors who without their loyal support these days would not be possible.
With spirits already riding high, Chris Tarrant's arrival simply took them to the pinnacle, wasting no time Chris was quick to lead his group out to the water and catching fish.

The morning was proving tough going, with a stiff breeze and the ever threat of rain, however,  the teams persevered making the most of their time spent with mentors who skillfully guided them to the ultimate prize of their first trout.    Lunch took the form of a hog roast and boy were we all ready for it.  Cooked to perfection the lunch time break lead to some keen stories of the fish seen and then lost..... "it was how big" !!    All well fed and watered attention was soon back to the task in hand, "to catch a fish".  The afternoon certainly did not disappoint with some fine catches and some very welcome sunshine breaking  through.   for more information and your opportunity to support , take part , or even just to find out more contact Bill via http://www.fishingforforces.org/

Without the help of David and his friends Fishing For Forces would not be the success it is.First class instruction and personal mentoring had great results for our serving soldiers and vets at Haywards Farm.
Truly appreciated David.
