Fishing for Forces 21

Fishing for Forces 21 hit the clear water Hampshire lakes.  Blessed with some fine weather and an enthusiastic team of mentors, this day was about fun and relaxation.. time to reflect , time to chill, time to have a dam good time and all provided by Fishing for Forces and huge support from the main sponsors John Lewis Partnership Fly Fishing Club and Red Lion Foods.

Capt Charlie Sprake would finish  the day with the top bag of 22Ib +

Rods ready and all induction (health and safety) complete bacon rolls were devoured  by hungry anglers ready for the off.  The gin clear lakes did not disappoint with fish being taken at both close and long range.  Warm sun and a light breeze only assisted as aggressive takes on top and below the surface soon had rods bending to breaking point.  Fish of five pounds plus soon started to hit the scales, but these were to be mere teasers to some of the monsters that lurked.   Excitement and determined passion continued throughout the day and a well earned hog roast lunch cooked to perfection, was enjoyed by all.

Nosh cradles 9.6 Ibs of fine rainbow

As the afternoon pressed on as some late catches played threat to the early leaders but Captain Charlie Sprake held firmly on to top spot finishing with a very fine bag of over 22lbs. Biggest fish fell to first time angler Nosh Caddell a very memorable fish of 9lb 6oz..... Nosh thinks all trout are this size now....

Chancelle Charter took the ladies top spot with 4 fish bag of 19lb 7oz,
